Objective

This lab focuses on creating and validating a Resource Group within Microsoft Azure to establish a structured environment for future cloud deployments.

The goals of this lab are to:

  • Create a dedicated Azure Resource Group
  • Define subscription scope for resource management
  • Select an appropriate deployment region
  • Validate a clean baseline environment
  • Establish the foundational structure for subsequent Azure administration labs

Environment Overview

Platform: Microsoft Azure

Subscription: Azure subscription 1

Resource Group: rg-azure-labs-core-weu

Region: West Europe

Access Level: Standard Azure user

The Resource Group was intentionally created as an empty environment to provide a controlled starting point for future infrastructure deployment.


Resource Group Creation

A new Azure Resource Group was created using the Azure Portal.

Configuration:

  • Resource Group Name: rg-azure-labs-core-weu
  • Subscription: Azure subscription 1
  • Region: West Europe

The Resource Group was successfully provisioned and became available for resource deployment and management.


Environment Validation

Post-deployment validation was performed to confirm successful creation.
