From Clinical Operations to Identity Security
Operating Under Pressure
Years of frontline nursing developed resilience, precision, and disciplined execution under pressure. I worked within strict protocols, managed risk in real time, and maintained reliability in high-stakes situations—an approach I now apply to identity and access management in cloud environments.
Building Structured Systems
My civil engineering degree developed systems thinking, risk analysis, and structured problem-solving. I apply this to identity and access management by analysing access models, identifying risk in permission structures, and contributing to secure, reliable cloud environments.
Identity-Focused Cloud Security
I am transitioning into cybersecurity with a focus on Microsoft cloud environments, particularly identity and access management in Azure and Entra ID. I analyse authentication behaviour, investigate access anomalies, and build structured labs that simulate real-world identity and SOC scenarios.
Current Focus and Direction
Identity Security (Entra ID / Azure): hands-on work with identity lifecycle management, authentication flows, and access control analysis, including RBAC reviews and sign-in log analysis.
Cloud Detection & Monitoring: analysing identity and Azure telemetry in lab environments, applying SOC-style investigative methodology to authentication events and access anomalies.
Detection Engineering (Identity-Focused): developing towards detection logic, behavioural baselining, and identity-based detection scenarios through structured lab environments.
