From Clinical Operations to Identity Security
Operating Under Pressure
Years of frontline nursing developed resilience, precision, and disciplined execution under pressure. I worked within strict protocols, managed risk in real time, and maintained reliability in high-stakes situations—an approach I now apply to identity and access management in cloud environments.
Building Structured Systems
My civil engineering degree developed systems thinking, risk analysis, and structured problem-solving. I apply this to identity and access management by analysing access models, identifying risk in permission structures, and contributing to secure, reliable cloud environments.
Identity-Focused Cloud Security
I am transitioning into cybersecurity with a focus on Microsoft cloud environments, particularly identity and access management in Azure and Entra ID. I analyse authentication behaviour, investigate access anomalies, and build structured labs that simulate real-world identity and SOC scenarios.
Current Focus and Direction
Microsoft Identity & Access Management (Entra ID): hands-on work with identity lifecycle management, authentication flows, access governance, Conditional Access, RBAC analysis, and sign-in log investigation within Microsoft Entra ID environments.
Microsoft Cloud Administration Foundations: developing practical experience across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, and Azure administration fundamentals, with a focus on identity-centric operations, user lifecycle management, and access control.
Cloud Security Monitoring & Investigation: analysing identity and cloud telemetry in lab environments, applying SOC-style investigative methodology to authentication events, access anomalies, audit activity, and security-relevant behavioural patterns.
Identity-Focused Detection Engineering: developing skills in behavioural baselining, detection logic, and identity-based detection scenarios through structured Microsoft cloud lab environments, with a long-term focus on Identity Security and Cloud Security engineering.
